MAMMALIAN FAUNA AT THE NATURE RESERVE PALMARÍ

The following list contains only species of mammals (or their unmistakeable footprints), which have been seen on the premises and surroundings of the RESERVA NATURAL PALMARI as from May 1.998 by at least two persons accompanied by one of our local guides. Confirmation of the species has been obtained through the "Neotropical Rainforest Mammals" (Louise H. Emmons) and "Mammals of the Neotropics" (Kent H.Redford & John F.Eisenberg) field guides.The present list is constantly up-dated.

We wish to thank all participating and reporting visitors, tour-guides, local guides and others, who did walk long, sweat much, search a lot, row for hours and studied well in order to enhance the present list.
